Hello
My name is Taylor Barnett. I am a lover of Christ, and a mother of one young toddler and expecting a son late in the summer of 2025. I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in early childhood education, and am expected to graduate with my Education Specialist degree in the summer of 2026. I have taught Pre-K for four years, but after this school year will be staying home to be with my children and work towards overcoming the trials and setbacks we are facing with my daughter's recent epilepsy diagnosis.
My Story
As a young teacher and mother, my days are a symphony of cheerful chaos and heartfelt moments. Balancing lesson plans and playdates, I find myself perpetually on the move, transitioning from the classroom to the playground with the same enthusiasm. Teaching Pre-K school students invigorates me, as I witness their growth and curiosity unfold daily. Yet, it's the evenings spent with my toddler that truly fill my heart, as we explore the world together through their innocent eyes. Juggling these two roles is no small feat, but their intertwined challenges and joys shape my identity, teaching me patience, resilience, and the boundless capacity of love.

After four years of dedicated service in the classroom, I have made the heartfelt decision to leave my teaching position after this school year to stay home with my children. This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life, where I will channel my nurturing spirit and passion for education into my own household. While I will dearly miss my students and colleagues, many of whom have inspired my commitment and enthusiasm, I am excited to embrace the opportunity to be present for my children's formative years. My life will undoubtedly feel different without the classroom, but I hope to continue a legacy of learning both at home and in my community.
